Configuring Port Trunking on a Buffalo BS-GS Series Smart Switch


  1. Log in to Settings, the web admin interface for the switch, and open the "Advanced" menu. If you are unsure of the IP address for the switch, download and install the switch configuration utility from the Buffalo website. It should be listed on the "Downloads" page for your specific switch model.

  2. Click on "Port Trunking" on the "Advanced" menu. Note that this switch already has one trunk configured.

  3. Select the ports you wish to add to a port trunk. You may add up to 8 ports in a single trunk. Give the trunk a key and name, then click Apply.

  4. The new trunk should now be listed. The process is complete.
