| During the warranty period, please send the unit back to Buffalo Technology and we will replace any defective drives for you. |
| • Is the MiniStation DataVault compatible with Windows Server 2000, 2003 or 2008 |
| Yes, the MiniStation DataVault will work perfectly on your Mac with OS X 10.4.11 and later. However, keep in mind that the MiniStation DataVault is pre-formatted with a FAT32 file system. Certain Mac features (TimeMachine) will require that you re-format the MiniStation DataVault with your Mac for the HFS Plus file system. |

| Yes, once you remove the DataVault from your PC or Mac it automatically locks, preventing any unauthorized access. However, aside from the main data partition, which is always encrypted, a small utility partition remains unencrypted for easy access. |
