WII U HARD DRIVE
Easily expand the storage capacity of your Wii U gaming system to save game data and downloadable software with this Wii hard drive. DriveStation Axis has been tested to work with Wii U, offering compatible, reliable Wii U storage.
BUFFALO TOOLS
Buffalo Tools is a feature-rich suite of optional software included on many Buffalo DriveStation and MiniStation storage products. Any or all of the following components of Buffalo Tools may be installed on Windows PCs.
- Buffalo's Backup Utility is an easy-to-use and fully featured backup software for Windows PCs and can be used to back up one or multiple computers with a single Buffalo external hard drive.
- eco Manager is an energy efficiency tool used to conserve energy and reduce battery consumption by regulating the power usage of the hard drive, cutting power to the drive during extended periods of inactivity.
- RAMDISK is a simple utility that allows you to create a RAM disk on your Windows PC which creates a small, but extremely fast environment to work on files in.
- SecureLock software for Windows® provides complete control of the data encryption on your Buffalo external hard drive, providing password protection and software data encryption.

- Can I replace the hard drive in DriveStation Axis USB 3.0 by myself?

DriveStation Axis USB 3.0 comes equipped with a hard drive installed. It is not designed for nor does it support user hard drive replacement. Doing so will void the product warranty. The internal hard drive is a standard 3.5"

DriveStation Axis USB 3.0 can be used with PC and Mac computers out of the box with no installation or formatting necessary. However, the Buffalo Tools and the hardware encryption feature only work on Windows® PCs.
close - How does TurboPC work?

DriveStation Axis USB 3.0 features Buffalo Tools and TurboPC. TurboPC also includes the TurboCopy component. Together, these two pieces of Windows® software enhance the USB connection between your PC and the drive and adds an additional file manager tool for copying files quicker. By utilizing the PC's high-speed RAM, data can be transferred much more efficiently and quickly. Depending on the environment, TurboPC and Turbo Copy can provide file transfers over twice as fast. On average, gains up to 4X are typical.
