Firmware Bug Notice for TeraStation Customers
Thank you for using Buffalo products.
We have recently identified an issue with specific firmware versions of NAS products where writing to a USB drive fails due to a firmware bug. We deeply apologize for the inconvenience caused to our customers.

Bug Details
This issue occurs when the following conditions are met:
- The affected product is running a specific firmware version (see below).
- The affect NAS product is booted while a USB drive is connected.
- The USB drive is formatted with either Btrfs, XFS, or ext3.
Note: This issue does not occur with NTFS, exFAT, or FAT32 formats

This bug does not affect TeraStation 5020 series NAS.
Recovery Method
Buffalo will release a new firmware update for affected products to correct this issue. Once the firmware is updated with the USB drive connected, the bug will be resolved and the USB drive can be rewritten.
