Does the Web Access feature require a subscription to any service?

No. Buffalo Web Access feature is completely free of charge.

Does the WebAccess feature require any software to be installed on a PC?

No. Buffalo WebAccess feature is completely embedded into the firmware of the LinkStation or TeraStation device. For an overview on configuring WebAccess go here.

Installing NAS Navigator for Mac OS

  1. Download the latest version of NAS Navigator from the Buffalo downloads page.
  2. From the Dock, select the Downloads icon and open the nasnavi installation file.
  3. Click Install.
  4. Check the warning and click Open.
  5. Click Install NAS Navigator.
  6. Once the installation finishes, click OK.
  7. NAS Navigator should now be in the Dock.

Installing NAS Navigator for Windows

  1. Download the latest version of NAS Navigator from the Buffalo downloads page.
  2. Right-click on the file and extract it.
  3. Follow the wizard or use another application of your choiceto extract the file.
  4. After successful extraction, open the location folder.
  5. Double-click on the installation file.
  6. You may be prompted for administrator permission. If the security dialog box appears, click Run.
  7. On the User Account Control dialog box, click Yes. If you are not logged in as the administrator, you will be prompted for the system password.
  8. When installation finishes, click OK.
  9. Double-click the icon on the desktop to start NAS Navigator.
