How to use Buffalo TeraStation NAS with Wasabi cloud storage

Buffalo TeraStation NAS products are compatible with Wasabi cloud storage.

To configure Wasabi cloud storage on the Terastation, please refer to the following steps.
Note: This function doesn’t support S3 Object Lock.

1.    Open the user interface for the TeraStation and go to the “Cloud Storage” tab. Click the configuration widget next to “Amazon S3" to configure.

2.    This screen will list any existing configurations. Click the “Add” button to create a new sync function.

3.    From the Service drop down box, select 'Other Amazon S3 API compatible service'

4.    Enter the Wasabi service URLs to the Target Hostname base on your Wasabi storage region. Please refer to this Wasabi KB.

Add in the bucket name, the Access key ID for the user, and the Secret Access Key for the user.
Once all information is entered correctly click the “OK” button.

5.    The TeraStation will require a new shared folder to sync with S3. Enter the name of the new shared folder and click the “OK” button.

6.    You can set whatever options you like for the folder. We’re going to disable the Recycle Bin in the example because we don’t want deleted files replicated to S3. If you want to set up access restrictions or other options for the new folder it should be done here. Once you have the settings where you need them click the “OK” button to create the folder.

7.    Once the process completes the new sync setup will appear in the list. If you encounter any errors go back and make sure all steps were completed correctly.
