AUSTIN, TEXAS –– Buffalo Americas, a leading provider of easy-to-use technology solutions and acclaimed pre- and post-sales support, is announcing the product transition of the 2-bay TeraStation 5210DN directly to the partially-populated 4-bay desktop TeraStation 5410DN Network Attached Storage models. The TS5410DN models belong to the TeraStation 5010 line of high performance NAS solutions, and are purpose-built to fulfill the storage needs of small businesses and users who are serious about their data.
The new partially-populated 4-bay TS5010 models will include two NAS-grade hard drives, and will be available in capacities of 4, 8, and 16 TB. Partially-populated models are ideal storage solutions that can meet users’ immediate storage needs at an entry-level cost while offering the flexibility to expand for future growth. Designed to support demanding storage requirements associated with simultaneous virtualized scenarios, the TeraStation 5010 series is VMware Certified for iSCSI & NFS, so users can further expand their server space without the need for specialized equipment. The native 10GbE port, when paired with Buffalo’s 10GbE multi-gigabit business switch (BS-MP20), can increase network speeds by up to 2.7x faster in a 1GbE environment.
The TS5010 series also includes easy-to-implement cloud integration, including services such as Microsoft OneDrive, Microsoft Azure, Amazon S3, and Dropbox. This allows users who use cloud services as their primary data storage to establish a hybrid cloud. Benefits of hybrid cloud include lower recurring cloud cost, faster access to locally stored data and enhanced data security.
Buffalo’s line of TeraStation Network Storage Solutions are widely considered to be the most secure data storage on the market. With security features such as Boot Authentication, 256-bit encryption, as well as the device being on a closed system so there are less intrusion vulnerabilities, users can be confident that their data is stored on a secure device that protects against data loss.
