Reminder: Make sure you have a password setup for replication

Press Releases Mar 15, 2019

Reminder:

Make sure you have a password setup for replication

To securely backup your data via backup or replication, a password (access key) must be setup on the backup/replication target (i.e., on the target share to which backed up or replicated data is sent—the “Target”).

Please make sure you have installed the latest firmware on your TeraStation(s) and verify that an access key has been configured on the Target folder for any configured backup or replication jobs.

Update the latest firmware on your device(s) (https://www.buffalotech.com/support/download)
After you update your firmware, please log in to Settings > File Sharing> Folder Setup, and make sure you have an access Key (password) setup on your backup/replication target device (i.e., the Target)
If you replicate devices over different subnets or through NAT abstraction, VPN is recommended for the most secure setup
